• Thanks for the info Jenny my father was born at Knipton in 1896 and his father Freeman Wright died there in 1904 and my father died at Bingham my uncle James wright Had a farm at Scalford before and during the war he had 6 childrenand my gr gr gr grandfather lived for a time .in Bingham

Many years ago I used to live in Edmondthorpe~ I attended the local school and I remember that the teachers name was Mrs Rossitor (?spelling). This would have been about 1940/1.****We lived in a house just below the Hall~ and I remember a bomb dropping on the road between our house and the Hall.
