I am looking for genelogy information. The period I am looking at is 1850 to 1910. I know they were Romanies and bought property in Tadley but do not know whereabouts although I think it may have been in Mulford's Hill area of Tadley. They lived in Kingsclere/Wolverton/Tadley and Lambourn.

My Great~Great~Great~Grandfather Thomas Weston lived in Monk Sherborne 1811- 1851. All his children were born in Monk Sherborne George~ William~ James~ John~ Thomas~ Sarah~ David~ and Henry. Any information on the Weston family would be would be good.

Can anyone give me some information on Smiths Green Cottages~ Sherborne St JOhn. I believe my Grandfather was born at number 5 in 1876 but they are now numbered 162 to 166. Maybe someone can tell me when the numbers were changed and which was number five. I also need confirmation that there were not any Smiths Cottages at Monk Sherborne. My Grandad was Charles Silver so I don't know if anyone out there has any information on the Silver family

I am looking for information on my great-great grandparents. George Appleton and his wife Elizabeth Smith.****He was always known to my family as George but I cannot find anything about a George in the records (maybe a middle name?). They had a daughter~ Hester Helen in 1907. I have been told that there were a lot of Appletons in the area and my Nanna can remember George dying in the 1970's.**I know he was a broom maker and lived in a place called Heath End around the time Hester Helen was born. Hester Helen died in 1933 in Fulham~ London in childbirth - she had married Albert Victor Campbell and had a son Robin in 1931.****If anyone has any information about either the Appletons or Smiths I would be delighted as I'm really stuck.**Thanks

• Hi Linda, thanks for that. since this post the 1911 census came out and I managed to get a lot of info on the Appleton's. George had brothers called Philip, John and Alexander and a sister called Sarah - his parents were John and Laura. He was born in Baughurst in 1869. I don't know if any of your Appleton's are descended from any of these Appleton's but thanks for the reply.

  My grandad percy Appleton had a brother called george, not sure what his Dad was called. I am sure my grandfathers Mum died in childbirth having my grandafther and her name was Charlotte Webster (but I would need to check this fact) I think my great grandfather married again and may have gone on to have more children. By Dad is called Leslie Frederick Appleton (Fredrick) after a relative and at he made broom's to sell to garden centres when I was a child. I also know a Doreen Appleton (no relative to me but I am in contact with her and could find out more from her.

I went to Bramley school in 1952 It was located next to the church in Bramley. The head mistress was a **Miss Bridger and my form teacher was Mrs Murdoch.I would love to contact any one who went to the school arond this time.
