Is there anyone who can give me some information on the Hammond family who lived at 'The Cottage'1914+? Mrs Hammond was Ethel Lambert before she married Leonard Hammond. Their eldest children were Eileen and Leonard.

My ancestors came mostly from the Horley & East Grinstead area and their surname Sargant was spelt in several different ways. Latter generations moved to the Reigate/Redhill/Merstham areas. I am looking for information about these ancestors~ in particular Philip Serjant~ born 1785 and Benjamin Serjant~ born 1810. It is believed that many of the earlier generations were Baptists~ but converted to C of E in the 19th century.

Hello Im looking for info on my 2x G Grandparents family. ****His name is Jesse Banks b. 1840 in Horley~ Surrey~ England he Married a Maria Brown on 1863 . She died between 1871-1881 jesse is a widower on the census.. **Children are:**Samuel George b. 1870**Walter b. 1868**My great grandmother Barbara Ellen b. 1867 d. March 6 1948**Emily b. 1866**Edward John b. 1866**Lucy Ann b. 1864****I have search familysearch.org and found them on there but when i go to the BMD to see about ordering there birth or marriage papers I find nothing at all on this family. Maybe someone else has them in there family and can help me thanks so much HEATHER

I used to live at 2 Hearne Cottages~ Russ hill~ Charlwood. Went to school there~ I was 16 when i left in 1964~ along with mum~ Doreen Black~ brothers Leslie~ Kevin & sister Carol~ i have been in Australia for 30 years now. any one from the old place out there~??????????

  I know this was posted over 2 years ago, but I have only just seen this site and entry by yourself. your G,G Grandfather was my GG Granfathers older brother (Charles Potter).. You may have already found out all the info you need, but I would be very happy to help fill in any gaps I can form my side of the family.
  I now too live in Wales, but my side of the Potter family has hardly moved far from Worth, pretty much continually living in Blindley Heath since the late 1890's till the prtesent day.

I have been researching my husbands family tree and have found a number of relations by the surname of Tullett~ (Tulet or Toolet) living in and aroung Charlwood and Newdigate(late 1700's).Can anyone help to see if this name is mentioned anywhere. One family lived at Stan Hill cottages~ another at The Norfolk Arms in Holmwood~ more at Star Hockwood Common Charlwood. ## Are these places still in or around Charlwood~ can one visit~ what is the name of the local church~ are any buried there. So many questions~ please can anyone help.The info I have are census reports for the early to late 1800's when it seems many of them moved on to Reigate.many thanks Laurinda
