Hello Everyone!****I miss you all and the wonderful life I had in Bishopstone over a decade ago...**As you know one of my best friends~ Adrian Dent~ had an affair with my wife(your headmistress in Bishopstone) unbeknown to me! This clandestine relationship had been going on for a long time and many in the village and beyond were aware BUT nobody told me!**I know that I still have many friends in Bishopstone who are regularly in contact and I will be close to them too.Those of you who believed in the 'negative' issues concerned with me were probably unaware that they were simply related to an over-consumption of delightful fluids from Arkels Brewery.That is not a crime yet!**While I was blissfully unaware my 'friend' Adrian Dent was having an affair with my wife~ Susan Walton! She was a woman I loved and still do...**I like to believe that 'natural justice' will prevail and 'what goes round comes round' and I am sure this is a natural process and time will tell.**I am still disgusted by Adrian Dent's behaviour and all of this went on behind my back! **All of you that keep in touch~ God Bless you...the others who don't then...have a good life.**Alan

I am trying to trace the Legg (Legge) family. My g.g.g.grandfathe Henry Legg was born in Hannington in 1786.**He later moved to London and married Maria Holt in 1815. They had several children~ one of whom came to Australia~ and is my g.g.grandmother. I am trying to find out who Henry's parents were.

I am in the process of family research. One of my paternal grandmothers has been established to be born in St Margarets Wiltshire in 1859. Her name was Alice Jane Smith. She moved to london and married in 1871. It is possible that she had an older sister Mary 1844. Thus far I have come up Blank

Could anyone tell me if Leonard's Lodge still exists in Blunsdon.....I have letters to my Grandparents from A.E. Harford of St. Leonard's Lodge.(1939).....Would this be attached to St. Leonard's church? Also~ any information about Fowlers Farm~ Blunsdon. Will be visiting from Canada and would like to look these places up.****Thank you.

My name is June. My grandparents Frank and Jane Barrett left England to come to Canada around 1908. I have letters to my grandmother from a place called "Leonards Lodge" and also Fowlers Farm in Blunsdon~ Swindon The letters are from A.E. Harford and also E.W. Freeth or Fruth.(dated 1939 and 1940) I am planning to visit the area this summer and would love to have any information about these places. Thank you.
