I am in need of help from anyone who can give it to me. My great great grandfather was James Layley. I understand many of the Layley's come from Sulhamstead-Berkshire area. My gg grandfather was married to Emma Mary Sparks. She was born in 1836 in London. I believe his birthdate is around the same time (give or take a few years). I am looking for relatives of the family of Appletons who lived in Farley Hill and listed in the Census 1891 and 1901and possibly 1911 The head of the family was John and married Helen Allaway from Beech Hill.**I have traced two brothers to Canada.**My grandmother lived at Heckfield and with my father worked at Heckfield Place

Does anyone know anything about the family of Arthur Edward and Bertha (nee Knapp) Bowyer who farmed in Winnersh. They are farming there on the 1901 census~ the address was Murrell Green. They had a son Alec who was born in 1916. I do not know if they had any orther children.**Anything about Alec or his parents would be appreciated or any information about their farm.

My 4th great-grandfather William Miles~ was married at ST MARY'S church Stratfield Turgis. To Mary Netherclift 12th October 1801.**The couple lost their first two daughters in infancy~but their son also named William was baptised in 1808 at Turgis.**The Miles family have lived in the area for at leased three hundred years~ and continue too do so.**Im struggling to find William Miles's parents.**I would be intrested in any information~ regarding the MILES OR NETHERCLIFT FAMILYS.**KIND REGARDS**Carl Miles
