I am trying to trace the details of my Grandfather who we understand was a son of a farmer living in the Liskeard / St Cleer / Darite area between 1910 and 1920. We understand his surname was Adams, although we are not certain of this. It seems he formed a relationship with Miss Winnie Austin who was living in Trewarick Farm, St Cleer and subsequently between them, had a total of four children, although on checking birth records, no fathers name is listed..!
Obviously this is an extremely long shot, but am wondering if anyone is aware of anybody who might have been living within the St Cleer area around 1920ish, or slightly before and may have an awareness of the relationship between the eldest daughter of Herbert Austin (Winnie) the family of whom lived at Trewarwick Farm, St Cleer, Cornwall between 1910 and 1925 and a farmers son with the surname Adams. Hello, I'm researching family history and in 1861 the Jane family were living at Lower Beara, Lanreath, Cornwall.Head of family was Richard Jane with wife Ann.Along with William 11yrs, John T 7yrs and Elizabeth A 4yrs and Amos 7months They moved to the North East of England between 1871 and 1881.Their son John Thomas Jane is my great grandfather.

My great grand parents were Thomas and Mary Ann Knight(nee Warren).They moved from St.Cleer to County Durham around 1890.Thomas Knights parents were Joseph and Frances(nee Kellow).Using St. Cleer's parish records I have established that Josephs father was called Robert and France's father was called Henry.Does any one have any information on any of the families mentioned?

Would anyone have ANY info on the Harris~ Rowe and Garland families of st cleer from the 1860's on. James Harris emigrated to Australia in 1861. Can I just say if ever you are in st cleer the inn across from the churchyard is a fantastic place for a drink and a meal---especially on a cold day! Thanks Jeanette

My maiden name was Constable and my grandparents owned the farm once called Little Batron there surname was Wingrove. I went to school in the sixties at Darite Primary School. Then Callington Comprehensive we emigrated to Australia in the year 1971 or 1972. Am looking for people who knew me or my grandparents.
