I am looking for any info on the family name of Lilley. I have traced this line back to 1739. They seem to hail from the Thorney area ~ although I am really interested in any info regarding them in the Newborough / Thornhaugh areas.**I know they were a large family and I have spent many an hour trying to tie ends together .

Whilst researching my husbands side of the family~ the name WYLES~ we are amazed to find at least 4 generations back from his grandfather Archibald Brillain Wyles born in Duddington 1887~ to his great grandad Thomas Wyles in the 1851 Census who was the village blacksmith in Duddington. None of our immediate family was aware of this link to our ancestors and can only think that some of us will be making a pilgrimage to Duddington in the not too distant future. We all live far and wide~ so this is very interesting to us all. Does anyone in Duddington know if there are any Wyles's still living there?

I visited Pickworth recently as My Great Grandmother ( Elizabeth Ann Avery) was born there~ and found 5 graves in the churchyard mentioning 7 ancestors....it was wonderful. It was quite a large family~ as I've found by looking at various census. It would however be nicer to find living relatives. Are there any Avery's or Healam's left in the area~ if so would love to hear from you.
