I'm trying to trace my family ancestry. I am a descendant of James Carr Veale who~ we think~ came from England in the 1700's with 2 brothers. James~ Carr~ William~ and Waitis are common names in my family line. Our family settled in Indiana and my branch settled in Southern California.

My husbands g.g.g.g grandparents were John & Eliza Goodman.living at Westmill Rd. Ware. The 1841 census shows 10 children~among them Hannah who is my husbands g.g.g.grandmother. Hannah's brother Ephram~ emigrated to U.S.A~with young family in 1856. The othe names on the census are~Daniel b.1829~Easter b.1831~John b.1825~ Joseph b.1834~Rebecca b.1837~Simon b.1840 Benjm b.1836 & Stephen b.1833. I would be interested to hear if any decendants still live in the ware area~any info on the family would be appreciated Liz

I used to live in Much Hadham High street In "The Rose & Crown" pub in the 1950's. I was taken there today as a birthday suprise 30/11/2008 and i was quite emotional~ it brought back alot of lovely memories.
