Hi~ I am looking for information on my Morley ancestors - Sampson Morley~ died Leek 1838~ his son William Parkin Morley b.1821 Leek (has a twin brother John Paterson). They were silk manufacturers~ - Sampson was in partnership with Daniel Colquhoun and William and John were in partnership with William Milner. I believe they lived in Mill Street and Clerks Bank at different stages. Greatly appreciated.

Hi****I am trying to trace my early HALL family in the Leek~ Stone~ Wetton and Caverswall areas. ****I know that Richard (born Leek 1774) married Jane Allcock at Wetton in 1794 and that his father was most likely Hugh Hall born Leek 1754. Hugh married Amy Hassal who may have been the one born at Caverswall in 1741 to Joshua Hall.****Several Halls eventually came to Australia.****If anyone can help sort this out for me~ I would much appreciate it.****Cheers~ Ross of Canberra

I was born in Hanley in May 1953 and although we moved away (initially to Derbyshire) in 1957/8 we continued to vist my Grandmother~ Uncles and Aunts for many years. I beleive the main address was in Wood Street but the roads / houses have changed so much over the years~ i cannot seem to locate the place now.**Aunts~ Uncles were in Longton (near to the park) and various other places.**Lost contact with them all now and would like to re-estblish contact with any surviving relatives (especially cousins). I recall cousins of the names Sam~ Ron and Alan Mellor (there may be more).**My father was Thomas William Mellor (now deceased) who's brothers and sisters were: Sam~ Albert ('Nip')~ Edith~ Clarry Clarence)~ and another lady who moved to Scarborough.**If anyone recognises any of these names~ please contact me.**(pythonatm@aol.com) as I would love to here from you.
