"JACKO"****My brother was I believe known to many in Mumbles - he made it his home some 20 **years ago now and lived with his partner Val in Village Lane. He was a true **"Aussie" and was locally known as "Jacko" just as his Father in Australia was **known also. He was born in Brisbane~ Queensland just as I was and loved **everything to do with the water. He swam in Interschool Competitions~ lived as **a Surfie for many years~ became a Lifesaver on the Gold Coast at two different **Beach Clubs and truly loved fishing especially with his Dad. ****His work kept him away from home for many years - firstly in Papua New Guinea~ **then Darwin and then again in Bouganville~ Papua New Guinea. While in Darwin~ **he and his family lived through Cyclone Tracy and they all suffered nightmares **for many years after that devastation.****After his death on December 29th 2004~ he is survived by four daughters~ Karen~ **Kristina~ Davina and Danielle and also one Grandson.****As his Sister (Cheryl McRae) I am now the sole survivng member of the original **family unit and I miss my family unbearably so if anyone has any stories they **would like to tell me about "Jacko" then please email them to me****Thank you for reading this about my brother and I hope you have all learnt **something new about a great person****Cheryl McRae**8 Flinders Crescent**BORONIA HEIGHTS QLD 4124 AUSTRALIA

My mother (Ivy Adelaide Johnson) was raised in a large house at Caswell near Swansea by her Godparents~ the LLewelyn family. She attended school in Newton. Her parents died in a theatre fire in London around 1899. She was two years old at that time. I believe she stayed at the Llewelyn house until 1910 when she (at 14 years old) moved to Canada. I have good pictures of the house in Caswell and the school in Newton that was put on post cards. I would appreciate anyone who may be connected to the Llewelyns to send me an email or telephone so that I may establish a contact for the purpose of furthering my geneaology research. Thankyou. ****Robert R. Ward**Tel: Canada 1-416-422-0714**Email: ward6479@shaw.ca
