Hello~ does anyone have any old photos of whatton~ i attended whatton school~ and the Aslockton school when 1st built~ i remember the Archbishop coming to open the new school~ we 1st lived in Gable Cottage~ then moved to Ivy row and i remember spending lots of time in the griffins head as my mother worked for Fred and Annie Moore~ we then moved to Abbey close~ and in 1969 we moved to shropshire~ i have many memories of Whatton and Aslockton and would love to hear from anyone with memories also.**Regards Brian Beeching

My husbands maternal grandfather was Carles Richard Cook~**born in Cotham~ Nottinghamshire. 1879.**Cotham seems such a small place I wonder if anyone knows of the Cook family? He lived in Ingoldsby~ Lincolnshire on the 1901 census~ He died in 1966 in Nottingham.

In 1881~ Relatives of mine was running the Five Bells Pub in Claypole~ this is **on my Mothers side. I am trying to find a photo of the pub as it was in those **days or soon after.
