Does anyone know the family history of the Crocombe's~ I**believe that two sisters? were involved in some sort of sea rescue in the 1800~1900's and there is a book about their exploits? Any information would be welcome.

I am looking for information on an early Ancestor~ named George STAPLE b. circa 1800. On '51 census he says born [sic] St Ostriste~ on '61 census he says born West Quantoxhead. Lived mostly in Stogumber and Fitzhead. I believe he married Charlotte Shorney from same area.**Any Information Gratefully appreciated.**Cheers Jan

Abraham Corkett has my great grand father who lived in Elmdon~ Essex in the mid 1850s.**I am eager to trace his other descendents and research further back to the 1700 if possible

I was wondering if someone could help me. My Grandmother used to live at Pyleigh cottage when I was a child and I have some wonderful memories of visiting every summer until she died~ when I was 16.****I have never been brave enough to return to the village~ for many reasons~ so I just wondered if anyone had any pictures of the cottage or even of the surrounding countryside~ so I could see what it looks like now. ****I would be extremely grateful if someone responds!
