Hi all~****I am looking for information on my 7th great grandfather Eli Nelson who was born in Norfolk in 1615. He eventually left for Westchester~ New York. I am looking for information on him and I am trying to find his father's buriel site. I have found some Nelson's online that are buried in the Necton cemetary. Their buriels are around 1630 which is probably close to when Eli's father passed away. My husband and I plan on visiting Necton in late April. If anyone has any ideas on how I could find get more information on the Nelson's I would appreciate it. Thanks **Jamie

Hi all~****My husband and I will be traveling to Necton in late April. We are traveling to the UK from Little Rock Arkansas. I am interested in finding information on my 8th great grandfather Eli Nelson who was born in Norfolk~ England in 1615 and emigrated to Westchester~ New York. I have searched through buriel records and have found some Nelson's that were buried in Necton in the 1630's. I believe that Eli Nelson was probably from this town and that his father was buried in Necton. There are no other buriel records for Nelson in that time period in the county of Norfolk. If anyone could help me narrow my search before I get there I would be grateful. Thanks **Jamie

My married name is Blackman but my maiden name is Everard. My fathers family had a very strong link with the village of Westacre. Nearly all of them were baptised~ married and buried at All Saints Parish Church in the village and some of them lived in the cottage across from the church. I can trace the family back as 1720 to William Everard. He was married to Sarah Gage born 1724 and her father John Gage born 1698. The name is also written as Everett or Everitt.**I would appreciate any information that anybody has regarding my family.**

The hamlet of Palgrave near Sporle was originally spelled Pagrave and its inhabitants adopted the surname~ Pagrave. They migrated to other parts of Norfolk and beyond but~ by about 1600~ most of them chose to spell their surname~ Palgrave.We are in touch with many of their descendants through our website.We have accumulated much background knowledge ##on their history and genealogy~ much of which we have published in reference books and quarterly magazines
