I am looking for any living relatives of the Latham Family who may be able to help me further in my family history research. Alfred Latham was the licencee of the White Lion until his death in 1950. I am already aware of his daughter, Daisy's connections to Edingdale but have drawn blanks on the rest of his family other than I found his son's grave in the the church yard.

I was wondering if there were any relative of the Hunt and Stafford Families still living in Polesworth. My Grandfather was Albert Hunt and Lived on Fairfield Hill, my other Grandfather was Henry Stafford who living at the end of the Gullet off Fairfield Hill.
Albert was born in Fazeley and married Gertrude Stafford around 1911 and lived on Fairfield Hill till about 1960 ish
Henry was I believe born in Burton Hastings and married Sarah Jane Harrison
There is I believe a largish family grave in Polesworth Churchyard close to the Wall of the church,
If anyone has any extra information I would be most grateful.

  Woodrow Wyatt of the Daily Mirror in the 60s, became Lord Wyatt of Weeford when he was made a peer. Benjamin Wyatt & sons of Weeford [Blackbrook.] were an important family of architects, One built Swinfen Hall another built Shugborough Hall, and James worked all over England on new mansions, and cathedrals. John Wyatt was a contemporary of theirs from Thickbroom[Manley] who was an inventor working for Matthew Boulton in Birmingham.

I am looking for relatives of Charles and Rhoda Hawkes~ from Tamworth. This couple are my mother's aunt and uncle~ through**her father~ Thomas O'Connor. My mother used to correspond with their son~ Jeff~ back in the seventies~ and visited him in 1974~ I believe. Jeff had a brother named Harry. ****I am looking for information to assist my geneaology research.**My mother would like to see it finished before she passes.**Rhoda and Thomas were the children of John Joseph O'Connor**and Maria Elizabeth Spencer. He maried a woman named Elizabeth (no last name known)~ and had several children~ including a daughter~ Maria Elizabeth~**born abt 1865-1866. ****Maria Elizabeth married John Joseph O'Connor~ in 1888 in Tamworth. their oldest child~ John Thomas O'Connor~ is my grandfather~ on my mother's side.

I was thrilled to locate this site on my computer and hope that someone can help me with my family history. My Mother's brother~ Ernest William Tooth~ married a Peggy Brown from Dordon in December~ 1949. After they retired~ they moved to Bournemouth and have since passed away. Other than her name and a few photos of my Aunty Peggy~ I have absolutely no o ther information about her at all - where she was born and when~ any other family she had~ her occupation so if anyone can give me any information at all for my Family Tree~ it would be very much appreciated. I am researching the Owen family that have lived in the Tamworth area for the last 220 years. I am having difficulty tracing my great x 4 grandfather, Eli Owen who was born about 1780 in Warwickshire, appeared on the 1841 census,and died in 1844 in Hockley near Tamworth. Can anybody help please?

Does anyone know about William Edden Smith .In 1913 he worked as a Bunkerman at polesworth Collery .He joined the Army but only seved a few years due to ill health .At the time of enlisting John Smith his father possibly lived with him at 33 The Lynches Polesworth .After being Discharged i have no knowledge of him .I have found a William Smith in about 1922 living Church Street Polesworth and wonder if anyone knows about this family .Another brother George Edden Smith Was living Pitt Cottages in 1915 with his wife Sarah Ann.Any Information would be appreciated.Other sons were ~James Thomas and John George .**
