I am in need of help from anyone who can give it to me. My great great grandfather was James Layley. I understand many of the Layley's come from Sulhamstead-Berkshire area. My gg grandfather was married to Emma Mary Sparks. She was born in 1836 in London. I believe his birthdate is around the same time (give or take a few years). I'm trying to research my grandmother's family. Her name was Irene Salvage and she was a parlour maid for a Colonel & his family who lived in either Pangbourne or Whitchurch in 1932. Any info on the Colonel and where he lived would be great - he had quite a large number of staff inc a butler~ so must have had a fair sized home. If anyone can help I'd be very grateful.

I am looking for any information on Eliza Mortimore (Mortimer) born circa 1812 in Ufton. She married George Woolford and had 4 children~ 2 living~ before she died at age 29. Hi My Name is Rita Gunnn (nee Bailey) my parents were Harry &## Dorothy and I **use to live in Beenham abt 1957....I attended Beenham Primary School and use to **do Ballet. I use to live in a (Bus Caravan) in a site near the bluebell woods **where they use to have the Motor-bike racing.....my relations were called **Bailey (Nancy &## Percy)and they had quite a number of children.
