I am researching a house in Tregullow~ Scorrier~ known as 'Zimapan'~ otherwise known as 'Zimapan House' or 'Zimapan Villa'. **My great gandfather~ Walter Parsons Thomas lived there from 1921-1930 with his wife Angelina. He would have prayed and preached in St Day's Weslyan Chapel. He came from Holyhead~ Wales.**I have some old photographs of the house and gardens that date back to 1928. Then garden had a circular lawn and path~ was decorated with palm plants~ a central bay-window and was well-cared for. Now the place looks abandoned and forlorn and in need of some TLC.**Is there anyone left who can remember this couple~ or who knows anything about this house~ such as who else lived there over the years? [no detail too trivial] If so~ please get in touch with me urgently. ****NB: This research is unpaid.**

The 1841 UK Census shows my ancestors lived at an address called Skits Coomb in the Civil Parish of Kea~ Cornwall UK. Web searches show different spelling ie Skits Coombe~ Skitscombe. There were 36 houses in 2 tenement buildings~ I think.**Does anybody have more information on these buildings? **Do they still exist? Where are they etc

Dear Jill
How lovely to hear from you and what a lovely surprise!
My grandmother was Alma Davey the youngest of Henry and Henrietta's children (she was born in 1896 in Truro)so your grandmother Lillian would be my grandmothers sister. I thought I would never hear from one of the family, so I am really excited. I also didn't know my ggrparents were buried in the Truro cementry. Did your grandmother talk about the family? My father died when I was 7 and my gmthr died when I was about 4. For one reason and another we lost contact with my fathers family and I have had no one to ask about the family!! So when I mean any help with information I really do mean it, all I know is what I have found out from research.
Alma moved from Truro I suspect in the early 20's when she married my grandfather Charles Gould and they lived in Ealing. They had 3 children, Douglas, Pat and Stanley (Don - my father). Do you have any photos of the family (I do not know what they look like save

I believe Henry was also my g'gfather. Henrietta was his 2nd wife. His 1st wife was called Sarah and she died leaving approx 4 children. My g'mother Lillian was one of 4 siblings from his 2nd marriage. The family all lived in Truro my g'mother married John Palmer, my g'dad. I would say that there is still both Palmers and Davey descendents in and around Truro. Both Henry and Henrietta are buried in The Truro cemetery he died 1908 and Henrietta in1928. How are you connected to the family, were you related to his 1st wife's family? regards Jill Stapley

Unusual Request From Australia I am seeking information about burials 1853/1862 **for a family of Harris whose internments where handled by John Sampson~ an **Undertaker at Skinners Bottom. This family suffered the loss of 9 people~ whose **ages ranged between 66 and 7 years old~ over the period of 1853/1862. Does **anyone know of any plague/sickness at this time in history? Have dates of **death~ but not the place of internment. Am seeking contact particulars of Local **Council or any Authority who may hold records of this period.

Matthew Blewett
Trevarth, Cornwall (4.4 miles away)
In the course of investigating my family history~ I discovered the marriage of **Francis Blewett to Elizabeth Colan around 1540. One manor conveyed to Francis **by Elizabeth was that of "Trevarth in Gwennap parish". ****While I have not seen them~ due to time constraints~ I have found that estate **maps survive of Trevarth manor~ and can be seen in the Bluett papers in Exeter **record office.****As a Blewett~ the coincidence should not be striking## I was raised in Trevarth~ **but since Francis Blewett had 13 sons and 9 daughters~ and since then the **Blewetts have multiplied in every parish in Cornwall so Blewetts had to return **to Trevarth~ albeit in the more humble miner's cottages.
