My Mother and father (John and Ena Ridley) were married in the Tibberton Parish Church and my mother Ena Mary Bassett attended the local school. I am trying to find any records that confirm their marriage. I am also trying to locate and records of the burial of my elder brother Robert Ridley who died at birth and was (I under stand) buried in the Tibberton Parish Church cemetary. Both may parents have now passed on so I am wroking from verbal history passed on. I believe I have cousins who own the Basset Nursery at High Leadon and I would love to make contact with them again. Any help very much appreciated.

I am now 83 and live in essex but my thoughts often stray back to when I was a lad and lived in Rudford. I used to cycle to Huntley Manor every day where I worked in the gardens. It was at that time a childrens home. The owner was Major C P Ackers.**I joined the R A F in 1943 and when demobbed went back for a few months until I married an Essex girl and have been here since.**I often wonder what happened to the estate.

I played centre-forward for Longhope Football Club in the years 1957/8/9/60. Ivor Jones was the Manager & Ron Fruin was Coach. The Team won The George Sandoe Cup and North Cloucester League Third Division promotion in the 1959/60 season. I scored 60 goals - a record at the time - and wonder if it was ever equalled or exeeded? I left Blaisdon~ where I lived at the time~ to live in Belgium.****I would be good to hear from a present member of the club. I live in Northern Ireland. Yours in hope of information. ****

I am trying to trace the family of a Vera Timms~ the adopted daughter of Albert Timms who once owned a hotel I believe to be The Commercial Hotel in Redmarley Glos. The housekeeper of the hotel was a Mrs. Pritchard and Vera was a chambermaid~ they lived in a bungalow next to the hotel. It is possible that Vera's previous name was Bennett I would also be interested to know if anyone knows about the said hotel.

My mum and auntie used to visit "uncle Bert" and I have photos of Albert and Vera at Glos. An entry in my mums 1951 diary states. "10.08.1951 - Uncle Bert buried at Redmarley Church, Glos. Is this the same family?

Does anyone know the whereabouts of the following places:****Yew Tree Farm and****Tuckers Causeway****They are mentioned in the will of John FERRIS of Hartpury dated 1831.
