I am helping a friend find more infromation on a distant cousin of hers. The cousin's name was MARGARET SUMMERON and her address was:**ROFF COTTAGE~ BURGH HILL~ETCHINGHAM~ SUSSEX~ ENGLAND **Margaret was an author who wrote about 20 novels under her own name and the pen name~ JAN ROFFMAN. her mother~ Mabel Alice Hall Summerton [who predeceased Margret] had lived at this address in the 1940's and Margaret later moved there from London.Margaret was a single woman as far as determined.**Any infromation such as any local records~ her~ her mother's gravesite~ photo of her house or the like would be earnestly appreciated.****Thank you in advance~****Dan Murray**Saline~ MI USA

I am looking for a lady called Jennifer Dingle who lived in Wadhurst~East Sussex with her brother and parents and attended the local school.Jennifer was born in the early 1950"s and would now be about fifty seven years old.I last knew Jennifer in 1969 and she was working in a hotel in Wadhurst as a Chambermaid Jennifer was not very tall~shoulder length brown hair and glasses.**I would be very grateful for any information as to whether Jennifer is still in Wadhurst or where she is? I am looking for information on Thomas Pewsey born around 1766 in England He married Johanna Payne born around 1776 in England. They had 12 children## the first was Mary born in 1802 and Peter the last child was born in 1819. Thomas and Johanna are in the 1841 Hawkhurst census. I do not know how long Thomas and Johanna were in Hawkhurst before 1841 or if they were married there or elsewhere. Their son David was in the Hawkhurst in 1841~ Canada in 1845~ and later in Iowa in the USA. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I am looking for Henry Kemp born in Hawkhurst around 1800. he married a Mary from Hull~ Yorks and was a cordwainer. They moved to Ticehurst after their marriage and had 8 children before moving to Tonbridge. A name that re-occurs in the family is Smithson and i am trying to fid out the origin of this.

Searching for Gray/Grey ancestors from Hawkhurst my 4xg grandparents were John Grey & Sarah Gray (Relf)marr 6/4/1827 at Hawkhurst~I am sure his parents were Arthur & Margaret.**John's son William married Celia Eastwood 1858 then came to Australia~ I have some info on the Eastwoods & Relf's & Leaney's. Would like to find a link to Arthur Grey b 1714 Hawkhurst hung in 1748 as a smuggler.**Have had no luck finding Hawkhurst parish records.**

Hello My name is Sue and I am researching information on the family name Baldwin~ which was my maiden name. I have traced the connections going back to Samual Baldwin 1798 but need to fill in some gaps and hopefully contact some of my living relatives. My Grandad was William George Baldwin 1898 who married Ellen Elizabeth Button~ they lived in Hastings~ East Sussex for much of their lives untill the early 1970s~ When they moved upto Wiltshire where they both died in 1975.
