Descendant of Warren of Tideswell is looking for data to verify lineage. Is there a lineage of Warren of Tideswell (born about 1238 in England) that goes back in time as well as forward in time? Also~ how can I find a ship's list showing when the Tidwell (Tideswell) family left Tideswell for the United States. They landed at Westmoreland Co.~ Virginia Alternate spellings would be Tyddeswell~ Tyddswall~ Tiddyswall~ Tiddeswall~ Tydswall.

Am researching Swindell family. My great grandmother was Eleanor Swindell. Her family came from this area. Her father's name was George. She was born & raised here in Canada.She married Charles Harmon Dennis. I would like to make contact with anyone who may be related & have info on this family. I understand there are variations of spelling~ but this is the spelling my ggrandmother's family used. thanks~ marilyn

I am interested in learning more about the TUNSTEAD family's existence in Derbyshire. I did some research about 15 years ago at the archives in Matlock~ but that didn't really take me beyond the late 1600s.****My Uncle did considerable research about the late 1800-1900s but we need the help of any oocal people in the Derbys area who might have clues about what happened to the family.****The TUNSTEAD family is now quite small so it would be interesting to know what had happened to them at a time when they were obvisously somewhat larger. A branch of the family remained in the Derbys/Ches/Lancs area~ but there seem to be branches in Liverpool~ Ireland~ Australia and the US - grateful for any information as to how these all connect.****There are traces of the family in the DOOMSDAY BOOK for Norfolk (which amazingly has a close village of BUXTON) but the name is referred to as "de TUSTUDE" which could be either a brittany variant of the name or the true origin.****Any information would be helpful.
