I have a needlework sampler done by Loiusa Lamb, at the Hindon School, in 1869. She was a sister of Albin lamb. Can you suggest how this made its way to Canada?

I am researching a GURD One-Name Study and have a large Gurd family database. We have connections to many other families whose roots are in the Donhead area. I would be happy to share information with other researchers.

I've just started researching the Gurd family. Henry John Gurd, b. 1861, was my great-grandfather. I'd be very grateful for any relevant information you have and happy to share the little I have.

My grandfather~ Harry John Score~ was born in Donhead St. Andrew in 1892. His father~ John Score~ migrated to the U.S. with the family that same year. We discovered the Score family lived in that area for generations as far back as the 1700's. I would like to find out if any of that family remains there.

He had several **children~ my direct descendant being his son Wadham Yates.**I have a family bible saying they arrived in Norton 1st Oct 1859.**I believe they may have worked on the estate in Wiltshire~ for members of the **family of Marquis of Bath.**I think they left Wiltshire~ for Norton~ to work on the Norton Estate. John **Yates was Estate bailiff here until his death (c1922?)**I live in his cottage on what was the edge of the Norton Hall estate (which was **sold due to death duties by Lady Beatrice Thynne 1947)**i would appreciate any information you may be able to find of my families **connection with Dinton or the Wiltshire estates.**Who was John Yates father?. Are there still Yates in Dinton~ **If you are interested I have a lot of information about Nortons connection with **The Lord Bath Family**Thanking You .****Stephen Yates ~**Norton.
