David PittOwen
Llantrissent, Monmouthshire (2.6 miles away)
My Great Grandmother~ Hannah Pitt~ had been born and grew up at CWM Farm Llantrissent~ before migrating to Australia in 1872## she married a George Owen. My Grandfather~ the Reverend Reginald Pitt Owen~ a Padre during the First World World~ came to Llantrissent in 1917 to bury James Pitt and four months later Elisabeth Pitt his wife. I note that there is a grave stone in the local parish church commemorating their lives. I was wondering if there are any Pitts still living in this area and if anyone could tell me if CWM Farm still exists? Cheers~ David Pitt-Owen

JAMES FARR
Trostrey, Monmouthshire (2.1 miles away)
I am attempting to find information on Mary Edwards (b. ▒1801) who married William Farr (b. ▒1801). He was a "Publican" in Raglan in the 1841 census and was shown as a widowed Innkeeper & Pig Dealer at the Full Moon on George St. in Pontypool in 1851. His sister-in-law~ Sophia Edwards worked as a barmaid at the Full Moon. Her place of birth is listed as Trostrey~ Monmouthshire. Elizabeth Edwards (shown as mother-in-law) is also listed in the 1851 census and she was born in Landenny [sp?]~ Monmouth in ▒ 1777.**Margaret Edwards may be a sister of Sophia and Teresa and Elizabeth were Margaret's nieces.**If ANY of this information connects with your family~ PLEASE contact me! My Farr family members came to Pennsylvania in the 1880s to work in the coal mines near Nanticoke~ Luzerne~ PA. My paternal grandmother's family (Brown) also lived for some time in the Pontypool area before coming to Pennsylvania. My great aunt~ Louisa Brown~ married John Randall~ who I think had ties to Wales.**Email me at FARRfromWALES@aol.com**Jim Farr
