I'm helping out a friend of a friend (Eugene Plant) - looking for the above man who would be aged around 50.

Lived in Haringay road in his teenage years.

Sisters Gina and Maxine.

Mother's name Pamela (known as Pam).

Lived next door to "The Quinns"

Worked at Hill Top (Hilltop) Golf Club in the 1990's.

Can anyone supply any information at all?

  I am now living in Canada but as a boy I worked at the corner store in Shelfield as a paper boy. The store was owened by Les Rollinson and run by Brian (pasha) Downes. I beleive Brian is still running the store if not he lives just up the road in High Heath, Brian would now be about 63. The store is on the corner of Lichfield road and Mill road on the opposite corner to the Spring Cottage Pub. Looking for any information about the father of Charles Edward Craddock-Nicholls. Mother Louisa Craddock and father possibly Alfred Nicholls. Charles born illegimately and adopted out. Chalres was born in Stonnal~ in 1881. Charles was also the father of Harmar Nicholls~ later Lord Harmar-Nicholls and who in turn was the father of Sue Nicholls~ the Coronation Street actress.

  My partner's Mum remembers visiting a pub in Walsall as a small child whenthe tweo sides of the family got toegther. I wonder if this is the pub?

  My Grandfather was Harmar Nicholls first cousin. His mother was May Barnes (Nee Wesley)her sister married Charles. Their father was John Wesley he owned The Travellers Rest in Brownhills Walsall. You might be able to trace something through this?

I am tracing my family history. I used to live in Brownhills~ Lichfield Road~my parents lived in No:20~ this was also my Grandfather's house~ and my Grandmother Annie/Nancy Jefferies [nee Gilbert] used to sell Fish & chips from the front room[circa1940's?]. My grandfather moved to Warf Cottages~ Warf Lane~ where he lived with my nan Edna [circa1950] after the death of Annie. out of interest does anyone remember: Aunty Daisy's sweetshop [High St 1952>1959]~ Salt's fish &chipshop~Willetts Shoe Shop~ Poxons Butchers~ Parkers Groceries all on High street~ I used to visit these as a boy are any still there?

I'm visiting from America this week and am going to try to make it to Cheslyn Hay before I leave. Here is what I know about my English family. My g-g-g-grandfather~ George Bird~ was born in Cheslyn Hay in 1801. He married Jane. They had 4 children (George b.1826~ Rosanna~ Elizabeth~ Charles). George married Elizabeth and had 5 children (George Albert~ Edwin~ Thomas~ Rosanna Esther~ William b. Feb. 1860). William married Mary Ann Satchwell (daughter of William Satchwell and Mary Ann) abt 1861. They had 9 children (George O~ Florence~ Lottie Louise~ Thomas E.~ Rosa M~ Elsie (my grandmother~ b. Nov 1894~ Charles E.~ Earl and Robert). Elsie married David Williams abt. 1917 in America. They had 5 children (Davis~ Earl~ William (my father)~ Janet and Betty Ann.

  I worked with a fellow named Rivett Raynor back in the late sixties in Walsall Rivett was then in his late sixties. Rivett lived just north of Aldridge near to Stonnall. Rivett was a top class carpenter and worked for John Shannon & Sons on George Street Walsall. I know the street he lived on, it was off the Chester road. I am desperately trying to research my Hazeldine ancestors many of whom were born in West Midlands...Birmingham~ Walsall~ and before that~ Wichnor~ Staffordshire and Waters Upton~ Shropshire. Variants of surname spelling are making my research difficult to conduct. Is there anyone out there who may be able to help me~ please?
