I would like to find an old friend Anne Storer nee Hathaway~ she worked for the Grafton Hunt in the late 60's-70's. she was born in Syresham~ younger brother Ian and older sister Dawn her dad's nickname was Snowy. She married Rod Storer in the late 70's 1980 had a daughter called Gemma. I lived in Chichele Cottage Padbury with my family until 1978.We left the night my father Dick Workman died.He was the organist at padbury church.I would love to hear from anyone who remembers him or my family.I have many happy memories of Padbury and the time I spent growing up there. I have a great great grandfather named Samuel Henry Coates who was born on 7 August 1820 in Syresham~ Northamptonshire. His parents were recorded as Thomas Coates and Catherine. He was living in Syresham (in Bridge Street) at the time of the 1841 census (aged 20) and is listed as Henry Coates. He was a carpenter. He married a Charlotte West in Daventry in 1842. They had a number of children~ most of them born in Weedon or Everdon. There children included William b1845~ Ann b1846~ Benjamin b1847~ John b1851~ Samuel b1855~ Elizabeth b1857 and Charlotte b1860. If any persons are able to share any information on this family could they please get n touch

I am looking for information on 'Gawcott Fields Farm' in Buckinghamshire - the farm was occupied by the 'Clark' family many years ago!!! - myself and my sisters were fostered by the 'Clark' family in the late fifties early sixties (I am not sure of the time span). I would dearly like to know if the farm still exists and what became of the family. Any information is appreciated. I now live in the U.S.A. but plan to visit Buckinghamshire in the near future. I am looking for a good old Army mate of mine~ who trained with me at the Junior Tradesmen Regiment (Rhyl) which was situated in a village called Bodelwydden (with a "Marble Church") in the years 1964/66. His name is JOHN MAXWELL and he and his Parents were from a well known village quite near called Betws-ye-coed. Both he and his Parents were very kind to me and my Parents and I would be very grateful for any information as to where he is now. Many Thanks.

I have a good Friend who was stationed at Whitfield Camp~ which covered a large **area including the Airfield and a lot of the accomodation areas were situated **on what now is called Biddlesden Park. He was stationed there during 1953 and **1955~ but the camp was used during the war. We both went to this area recently **and still found some concrete footings for some of these buildings~ also two **what looked like air raid shelters which were intact still. We spoke to a Lady **who lived in a house~ which used to be the main entrance to the camp and she **was very kind in giving us some information about the camp. If anyone can help **in any way with more information about Whitfield Camp~ wether it be ex RAF Lads **who served there during the War or RAOC Lads~ (as it was an Ordenance Stores **during 1953 and 1955 at least) then it would be very much appreciated. Many **Thanks.
