trying to find any info on one of my long gone uncles~ ie Wilfred Cole~born 1893~ only info at this time is that in the census for 1901 he was 7yrs old a " Boarder " at " The Village " Fleetwood. ( and born in Syldesley~Lancs).**was " The village " a charity house/ welfare house etc. any info about him~ or " The village" would be most welcome .**Thank You

I'm looking for some information about a RAF plane crash in Newton of June 8th/9th 1944~ the bomber crashed into 2 cottages I believe. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about it. My grandfather was a part of the crew## sadly~ he and the pilot were the only ones who survived. I think there is a memoriam there now. I would just like to know more about it thank you.

My great~ great~ great grandfather was Joseph Hodskinson born in 1798 and he was a farmer in Elswick where all his children were born. His son Bartholemew (born in 1832) took the farm over from him and then passed it onto his son Robert (born in 1861). Any information about my family would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for info about Eddy and Margaret Sargent who ran a sort of hotel in a large house on the outskirts of Kirkham during the 1960s. In the basement of the house was a RAFA club.I stayed there on a few occasions and wonder whatever became of them and the house (I think the name of the house might be Carr Hii~)

mygreat great greatgrandma Fanny Atkinson married a Richard Houghton in 1839 in Preston lancs ~ Her Father was a William Atkinson a farmer and the census tells us that she was born in Medlar lancs~She was a servant at the time of her marraige so are there any family members of the Atkinson family still around Medlar~
