I am the daughter of Stephen & Irene Howorth who live in Stacksteads and are now in their 80's. I am looking for my Dad's Sister who married a teacher and went to live on Vancouver Island. Canada. Her name was Mary Howorth and she married Joe Marty they had 2 sons Nicholas and Terence. We always got Christmas Cards etc byt have heard nothing for quite a long time. Need help in trying to find a birth record in Bacup for a Mary E. Kean (or Keane/kane/Keen). According to the 1881 British Census she was aged 23 and was born abt. 1858 in Bacup. In 1881 she was living with her father Patrick Kean at 5 Trafalgar Row~ Haughshaw Road~ Halifax but was born in Bacup. Trying to find her mother's maiden name from the birth record to continue with the family research.
