William Gurney & Lydia wife nee Parsons lived at Little Kingshill as on 1841 census. William was a farmer with issue Sophia b Stoke Mandeville 1821~ Elizabeth b Gt Missenden 1823~ William b Lee 1828~ John b Lee 1832~ Thomas b 1840 Gt Missenden. William died June 1841 at Lt Kingshill Gt Missenden. He is connected to the Gurney family of Marsworth~ Bucks. Lydia buried at Ellesborough.Does anyone have any records of this family.## Thank you## Barbara

Hello There! My boyfriend was raised in Prestwood~ Bucks and moved to Canada in 1996~ he dearly misses it. I have been on the search for art of Prestwood or Buckinghamshire to buy him for Christmas. Weather it be paintings~ maps~ photgraphs~ just about anything. I am having the hardest time. I have already ordered a small map of Buckinghamshire from the early 1900's off of ebay~ I quite like it~ but it is very small. Does anyone have any ideas of stores in the area that sell on line? I have a needlework picture from ca. the 1830's-60's labelled "The Rectory House~ Halton." ****Unfortunately~ it doesn't specify which Halton. The building is in the gothic style~ two storeyed~ with a single storeyed~ crenellated addition at the left end~ and another freestanding single storey building to the right.
