LOVE FAMILY. Does anyone have any info relating to JOSEPH LOVE(father JOHN)
m MARY NORMAN Halstead, Essex, later moving to Colchester. They moved to Peterborough where they both died. Mary was apx 19 he being 40 yrs. They had a few children. Joseph is buried at Broadway,Peterborough. Mary ?. Mary is on the 1901 census as char lady. Joseph b Londonderry apx 1813/1817. We have a burial for KATE LOVE at this cemetery.

I am descended from the family of John and Mary (nee Nichols)WARD married October 1801 in Castor, does any one have any connection to this family as I would like to go back further and have searched records offices and websites but can't find anything earlier than this marriage so suspect they came from a different village to the one they married in.

Just wondered if any one knows if there was a pub called the Indian Queen in Bridge Street around about 1905. If so is it still there~ i am interested as doing family tree and a relative Charles Parsonage ran it. Any info would be good thank you

• The building still exists but is no longer a pub. It stoped being a pub some time between 1914 & 1918. Unfortunately, I know nothing about your ancestor.

Hi everybody~**I have been researching my family tree for some time now and have just discovered that my late mother's side of the family originate from Eye.**Her surname was PEACOCK and she was born and bred in Somerset~ but her grandfather was called JAMES PEACOCK. He was born around 1860 and came from Eye~ as did several generations previous.**I would love to hear from anyone whose surname~ maiden name included~ is Peacock as I am quite sure I am in some way related to you.**Thanks for your time~**Dave Grundy

  My Great grandma was nallie peacock and she lived in thorney all her life. you posted this quite a while ago so you may not see this im 18 and my garandma nellie died a year ago at age 97. I also have a great uncle who lives in thorney called ted peacock and his siter my nan also lives in thorney maiden name Peacock.

I came on to the site to see if I could see any names from my era at the school~(Old Fletton County Primary School as it was called before it was demolished and transferred to the Grammar school on the corner of London Road and High Street). It will be realised that I was at school a few years ago~ (I left in April 1951). I wonder is there anyone out there from then.

Seeking information on my Gt Gt Grandfather John Strickland born 1809 Wells Somerset died 1861 Peterborough. He was a Master Tailor and Lay Clerk at the Cathedral living at St John?s Street. He married Mary Ann Pheasant in 1833~ she was born 1808 Peterborough and died 1892. Does anyone know if William Strickland born 1807 Hampshire Painter and Gilder married to Eliza living at 36 Cowgate Peterborough was related to John? My father was vicar of Deeping st. James .The Rev. • I am currently preparing the April edition of "Priory News", the DSJ parish magazine. One article from Nancy Titman, a local historian, is about the formation of the Church Ladies' Fellowship and covers your father's time as vicar, which Nancy says was from 1952 until your family moved to Breage. She has supplied me with a copy of a low quality newspaper picture of your family receiving a presentation from Gordon Crowson. Nancy dates the picture as 1960. Her dates (1952-1960) don't seem to match yours but never mind.
