Does anyone remember Gordon and Walter Warwick from Westhouses? They lived in Bolden Terrace and both went to Westhouses Railway School. Their father~ Gordon~ worked at Westhouses Shed from the 1930s to the 1950s and their grandfather was Head Porter at Westhouses Station.

Im doing two completely seperate trees~ one being the Stone family based in Heage Derbyshire Thomas stone born in 1808 is my 3rd great grandfather~ does anyone else have any info on these stones? I am also researching The Oakes family from Riddings in derbyshire Starting with James Oakes who was born in Derby but moved to Riddings and was the founder of the ironworks there. if anyone has any information on either family please contact me. My 3x great grandparents were Isaac Coope (or Cope bn abt 1798) and his wife Hannah nee Storer (bn abt 1797). They married in Duffield in 1818 and certainly lived in Heage from the time of their marriage. Their son Isaac married Sarah Osbiston~ the daughter of Samuel and Frances Osbiston of Belper. She had previously been married to William Percival. I would be pleased to hear from anyone who may have a connection.

I used to go to school in Whatstandwell 1954 to 1961 teachers were infants Mrs Gill and juniors Miss Outram. I remember the round coke stoves with the third of a pint bottles of milk warming round them. I had many friends from around there and my maiden name was Snow. We lived at Homesford just a mile down the A6. It was a long walk to school and back in the bad winters and on one occasion I had to walk on top of the stone walls after the river Derwent broke it banks and flooded the road. Such times!**

I have been researching my family name now for nearly two years and have **complied a massive tree connecting ALL Kneebone's in the Derbyshire area and **some from Warwickshire and Staffordshire from 1900 back to 1770. I have several **hundred names which all decend back to the same couple. I have then followed **this couples ancestry back through the 1700's to specific areas of Devon and **there related family in that area around that time.

If anyone is **interested~ or can give me any 'background' information regarding Kneebone's **they knew in and around Crich or possible photos or background as to the **industry in the area (most were framework knitters or limestone quarymen). I **would appreciate any insight anyone can offer in order to put more of a **personal touch to the facts and figures I have compiled.

I also **understand there are several Kneebone gravestones in the local church yard~ for **which I have the inscriptions. If anyone if able to send my any photos of these **grave stone inscriptions It would be much appreciated.

I am researching my family's history. I have some sketchy information that my Great Grandma~ Rachel Ford (nee Truswell)~ came from Blackwell~ Derbyshire and lived on Primrose Hill. She was born in 1888. She had four sisters and a brother. Her father was called James Truswell and her mother was called Pamela Truswell (nee Dakin). Hi Tony, I think Rachel Ford was my Grandma's sister. My gran was Hannah Sherwood nee Truswell from Blackwell. I know there was an Aunt Rachel who I think lived in Burton on Trent, pretty sure her name was Rachel Ford. My gran had a baby called Pamela who did not survive, along with 6 other children.
