My Maternal Grandmother Ada Gale (1885-1970) married a Scottish seafarer.
Ada's siblings were Arthur, Henry, Samuel, Blanche and Mable who all feature on the Lockeridge census.
Ada had five children, Ida(Rene), Margaret(Molly), Roderick(John),Dennis and Daisy(Jean)
I would be delighted to hear from anyone with family connections.

My greatgrandfather Seymour Collier was born in the village of Addenbury Wiltshire in c1846 and was living in Avebury village in 1861. Would there be anyone who recalls the name or has seen information in the village archives etc. lf so could you please get back to me.

George Hutchins (born abt 1794) and Hannah Davis (born about 1800) were both christened in Holy Cross Church~ Wilcot. They married there on August 27th~ 1820. George was a blacksmith. They subsequently had the following children:**John - born in 1825 - married Eleanor Beaven**Mary Ann - born 1826 - married William Hunter**Jane - born 1827 - married Thomas Bray**George - born 1830 - married Eliza or Elizabeth (White?)**Isaac - born 1832 - married Susan (Nye?)**William Henry - born 1834 - married Fanny Mary Hunter****If anyone knows of the ancestors or descendants of this family~ I would be extremely grateful to hear from you

I would appreciate any information on my great great grandmother who was born in Overton in 1841. Her name was Mary Ann and her married name was PENNY. I do not know her maiden name.****She married Jacob Penny who was born in Lockeridge in 1835/36. They eventually went to Plumstead~ Kent.** Please email. Many thanks.

I have recently found out that my father[ Leslie Pearn -deceased] had been abandoned with his brother in Cornwall as a child at the age of 9- 10 years old [Born 1914]. I am trying to trace where he went and have found out that they actually found their way to Overton and went to school there.Apparently they lived with whom? in Arch cottage ? Given the background knowledge that he was of a farming family I am assuming that he and his brother worked their way to Overton on farms.Can anyone help with information about the school or through local knowledge? Thankyou.
