My seventh great-grandmother was Hannah Psalter (Salter) who is believed to have been born in Devonshire in 1737. She was christened on May 1~ 1737 in Whimple~ Devonshire. Her parents were Phillip Salter and Rebecca Bartlett. As an adult she married and came to America around 1763. She was married in England to William Howard and bore him 18 children~ two of them~ Peter & Ezekiel having been born in England. She died in Montgomery County~ Virginia in 1810 and is buried in the family cemetery at Childress~ Virginia. I would be delighted to have contact from anyone who shares common ancestry with Hannah Psalter (Salter) Howard. Dorsey Howard- Chester~ Virginia~ USA

Hi~ myself and my family are creating a family tree maybe you could help us. The information that i have is from the 1901 Census. It tells us that a Henry and Maria Preston had 7 children Marian~ John~Henry~ Maria~ Fanny~ Elizabeth and Sarah. We know that one of the childrenHenrymarried a lady named Elizabeth~ they had 9 children~ William Margaret Charles Elizabeth Ernest LouisaThomasMarie and Sarah. Of their children we know thatThomasmarried a lady namedKate Broomwhose parents where Agnes and William Broom. Kate had 4 other brothers and sisters named William~ John~ Agnes and Edith. Kate's sister Agnes married a man named Thomas Preston (My great grandparents.)Katewho died in 1912 had 3 children named Thomas~ William Charles and Ernest.##Information on them-Thomas born (Exminster~ Devon~ England) their Parish was Heavitree.##On the other side of things.. My great grandparents (Thomas and Agnes) had 4 children named Reginald T (Jack) Emily J(Joan)Henry John(who is my grandfather) and Elizabeth(Betty). Henry John later married a lady named Mary Philomena Robinson(Phyllis)-She is my grandmother. They had 3 children Jean Patricia~ Maureen Patricia and Henry (my father). (Now living in Nothern Ireland)##If anyone regonises any of these names and thinks they can help with our search I would be very grateful to hear from you. • Hi. I too am researching my family history, particularly my grandfather William Charles Preston. The details in the facts above appear to be very close to, although not exactly the same as the information I have. I have a copy of William Charles Preston's birth certificate which confirms his parents as Thomas Preston (domestic gardener)and Kate Preston (nee Broom), living at Oakfield Street, Heavitree. William Charles was born on 16/1/1902.

Hi~ me and my family are trying to create a family tree. I am wondering if anyone would know anything about Preston's or Broom families from Devon (Heavitree Parish). The information that I have is that a Thomas Preston born in Exminster in Devon 1874 was married to a Kate Broom who died in 1912. They had 3 children Thomas~ William Charles and Ernest. Kate's grandfather was Thomas Broom who was married to an Elizabeth. They had 3 children Alice~ Ada and William. William later married a lady named Agnes (This is Kate's parents). They had 5 children William~ John~ Agnes~ Edith and of course Kate. If anyone can supply any information in this search i would be very grateful. Thank you Lyndsay.

Thomas 1796 and Elizabeth Clarke 1795 were my Great Great Great Grandparents living in Plymtree. Their children were Betsy 1823~ Ann 1825~ Harriet 1827~ Thomas 1829~ Melony 1833~ Marianne 1836~ Harriet married a William Snow. I am interested in any info on this family

They are both buried in Manor Park Cemetary London. William married, Mary Ann Julia Wright and they had ten children. Thomas married Emma Viveash and they had seven children. There are of course a couple of skeletons in the cupboard - as there are in the best of families - are you content with this information or do you want to know more?
