My grandfather Fred Gurney moved from West Haddon between 1873~ date of birth~ and 1881 when he is shown in the census living in Wolston. He married Annie Marie Atkins~ from Stretton on Dunsmore in St Margaret's~ Wolston in 1901.**My father Alexander Leslie Gurney was born in Wolston in 1920. He married in 1942 Mary Elizabeth Smith~ from Sunderland. My father died in August 2007 and I interred his ashes in Dyer's Lane Cemetry~ Wolston. I am looking for more information on both the Gurney's and Atkins' families. I know quite a lot about the births and deaths of my father's brothers and sisters but I lack detail about the families. Old Yard~ Foleshill is mentioned in the 1841 - 1891 censuses~ but does not show **up on current street maps. Using an old map plus the 1841 and 1881 census **enumerators route Old Yard seems to be in the area of Edgwick Road~ Stoney **Stanton Road and Crab Mill Lane.**Does anyone know where Old Yard was in the 19th century please?**Regards~**Linda Hansen

We are still trying to locate and member of the Ross Family of Bow Brickhill. We have found that Percy Douglas Ross moved to Coventry and also his mother Sarah Ross moved there after her husband died. They lived Sarah's address was 30 Dickens Road Coventry this was somewhere in 1938. Percy Douglas had a son Kenneth Ross and they also lived near Sarah in Coventry. If anyone knows anything about this family could they please contact us.
