I'm trying to find out more about my great grandfather's sister~ Catherine Bowyer nee Gore who settled with her husband Joseph in Barnton after their marriage in Wigan in 1887. Catherine worked with her husband (who also worked as a chemical labourer and stationery engine driver) in a pub/beersellers on Runcorn Road. Other homes were in Weaver View and Nursery Road. Catherine & Joseph had five children of whom only two survived infancy. These were James~ b 1890 and Teresa~ b 1895. The latter married William Coombes (b Barnton 1890## living Oakwood Lane~ Barnton~ in 1911) in 1922 and died in the Crewe area in 1973. James was still living in 1911 and at home with his parents and sister## he may have married Katie Gerrard or Maud Robinson. I think Catherine may have died in 1926 in the Banrton area## I don't know where she is buried (likewise her other family members). Are there any descendants of this family who would be interested in links with the family elsewhere? I have a lot of information on branches in Lancashire~ Berkshire and elsewhere~ and would love to know what happened to Catherine & Joseph's family after 1911. Please contact me if you have inforamtion or would like to know more.

My great grandmother's maiden name was Antrobus. Hre full name was Margaret Helen Antrobus and she died in Blackpool in the 40s or 50s. There are still some family members living in south Manchester I understand. I am trying to find out what happened to her nephews/neices and possibly sister all of whom emmigrated to Canada in the late 19th C. Would be very grateful for any information.
