I have traced my ancestors back to Winterborne~ Kingston~ Dorset. Reuben Mitchell and his wife Elizabeth. There were 2 daughters that I know of Anne born in 1785 and Julia born in 1797. Julia married Benjamin Jordan Holloway.**Any information on them would be gratefully received.

My Grandfather was Thomas Henry Haskett~ Born in Marshall Dorset in 1884 February I believe.****He was in the Royal Marines.****He married (?) Muriel Alice Gray.I believe she was a domestic.****He moved to Canada between 1912 and 1916. ****I am trying to locate his birth information.**Thanks for any advise. They had a story to cover (no one knows what it is) so didn't leave a trail.**

I'm a Bingham decended back to a Thomas Bingham~ a master cutler of Elizabeth I time~ and married Maria Longley/Langley? in n1577. His grandson was the first Bingham ancestor arriving in Connecticut and marrying Mary Rudd [my paternal grandmother was also a Rudd]. I'm trying to ascertain if Thomas is the seventh son of Robert Bingham~ Esq.~ of Melcombe who died in 1561.****An earlier guest mentioned being related to Roberets and Richards [and other names that I recognize] back to 1230. ****Any and all information appreciated.**

My great grandfather~ William SHORT~ son of William Short and Catherine WELLS was born in Blandford Forum. William was the son of William Short and Elizabeth but I have been unable to get any other information on William and Elizabeth. Any help would be appreciated. I am a descendant of Jesse Eaton (b 1827 Ibertson~ Dorset) (m Mary Ann Loader b Spettisbury) They had the following children: Alfred Charles~ Walter J~ George~ Henry James~ Julia A and Mahala (who married Edmund Horlock) All of Jesse & Mary Ann's children were born in Charlton Marshall~ Dorset between1852 - 1871. The older boys and Jesse worked in the coal mines. I would be very keen to contact any descendants from this family. I would also appreciate any local history~ photographs~ or pictures of Charlton Marshall.

My Grandfather & Grandmother are buried in Hilton chuchyard and I am trying to find out more about my Grandfather. His name is Athur Moore Thomas and I understand that he was employed at Binghams Melcombe House as a groom(?). He lived in Melcombe Bingham~ Hartfoot Lane and was related to the Thomas's at Aller. Can anyone help me with any information at all please?
