I have recently discovered John Maskell Born 1719 resided in Rodmell died 1747, married 1741 to an Elizabeth Alfrey. I was wondering if anyone has them in their tree and any other info.

Hi, Im looking for details regarding Albion Hill where my grandmother was born. I dont know much about this place and can only assume its a safe place for unmarried mothers etc to go. Anyone with local history would be a great help to help my nan understand where she started life. also does anyone know about CROMWELL HOUSE in brighton its where my nan bioligical mother was listed to work on the birth certificate. many thanks in advance.

Hi All.**I am trying to find info on Harriet Elizabeth Edwards b1884 Langton Green Kent. She married Robert James Edwards b1883 Tonbridge Kent. During the 1940's they were caretakers for the Conservative Club on Montpelier Street Bright. After Roberts death in 1961 Harriet moved to 43 Beaty Avenue~ Coldean.** Can anyone tell me ANYTHING about the family or do you know Beaty Ave Coldean.....Thanks**Jenny

Looking for information on Mark Curry Ord M.B.E. (draughtsman and engineer)he is my great uncle - born 1862 at Westoe County Durham.**He lived at 'Sunnycroft' Dorothy Avenue Peacehaven 1922 - 1935 -+~ with wife Ellen nee Godding and his daughters Lilian (Mary) and Ellen Sarah (Nellie). I believe Lilian married a Sidney Allcock x 1 and then x 2 George Birks.****He was a good speaker and won medals for Oratory.****Mark died in 1937 aged 75yrs but I don't know where he is buried.****Thanks

• Hello Carol I don't really know much about Sidney this is a brief outline. Mary LILIAN Ord was the 2nd daughter of Mark Curry Ord M.B.E. and his wife Ellen nee Godding. She was born 25.12.1886 d. 06.11.1970 and Lilian was a violin teacher. Sidney & Lilian married in 1928/29 but unfortunately the marriage wasn't long and no children - Sidney died in 1939. She remarried a good few years later to George Birks who she was housekeeper for. I don't suppose that helps very much as I know much more about the Ord family. Sorry I cannot help more than that on Sidney's line. June
