I am researching my great great grandfather's line the ANDREWS family who lived in the Holme Lacy area in the early 19th century - he was JAMES ANDREWS (b 1828)****According to his marriage cert from 1854 he was the son of CHARLES ANDREWS~ farmer****Various census information cites his birthplace as Holme Lacy****I have found several ANDREWS families in and around the Holme Lacy & Dinedor areas and wondered if anyone could assist me****Thanks very much

I am researching my family history and I have obtained my Grandads birth certificate. He was born JOHN STANLEY REES 03 MAR 1921 in FOWNHOPE~ Herefordshire. His father is detailed as JOHN JOSEPH REES and his mother~ ELIZA ELIZABETH CRUTCHLEY. It gives the resident address as TUMP COTTAGE~ FOWNHOPE which has led me to this site. If anyone recognises this name~ or indeed anything about Tump Cottage around this time~ then please get in touch.

My great-uncle is Frank Skidmore. If I am correct the Skidmore family is connected with the Holme Lacy House. **I would like greatly to correspond with my English relations.

I am interested in Aylton because this is where my great~great great grandmother was supposed to be born but I have never been able to confirm that.She was Sarah Cowley and her father was William Cowley.She was born about 1817 and married John Guise of Worcester in 1840.She died in Droitwich in 1895.Would be great if some one could come up with some more info for me.**Regards all**Rodney.

I am searching for my grandmother Ethel Beatrice Harrison (nee **arnold/hickman/nix) who married Alfred R Harrison in Dudley in 1956 and was **last known to be at Lucknow Cottage~ Putley Green~ Herefordshire. I am also **aware that she had a son and I think his name was Roland. My mum hasn't met her **mother as she left when my mum was 6 months old.
