Purton/Restrop House area.****I am researching (or at least trying to ) trace relatives of my Grandfather Hubert ( White ) Warman - his Father was William Parham Warman and his Mother Emma (White ) Warman.****I understand that the names Jasper Warman/Rumbold ?Rumboll and Restrop House come into the History.****Any help would be appreciated~****Many thanks~ Diane

  could you give me your Grandfathers name, my Grandfather was Hubert (White )Warman and his Father William Parham Warman.
  
  The White Warman comes in the fact that their first 6 children were born out of Wedlock hence the name White, White being the maiden name of Emma William'
  is Wife. Hubert and Emma married in 1875.
  
  Just a little to be going on with.
  
  As you live near Swindon, perhaps we could meet up at some point.

• Hi I realise this is now 2012 but I thought I would add a comment to your query. A very elderly, now deceased relatives always said that my great-grandfather had some connection to the "White-Warmans" of Purton. I have no other info I'm afraid, my Mother died recently and I can't remember her grandfathers cristian name only that my great-grandmothers name was either Catherine or Kate.

I am looking for relatives of Vic Townsend he married a Mary Ann ( Molly) Bishop and had one Daughter Maud . Mary Ann was my Father Stanley George Bishop's Aunt. I think they lived in The Street I can remember a long garden with an orchard in it~ an end Cottage? I am trying to find if my Father lived with them about 1922 -1940? My Father had a half sister Kathleen Dodson (nee Bishop) - does this ring any bells~ any expenses gladly re-imbursed~ thank you~ Diane Everett.
