Do you have information on the Great Clifton Prize Brass Band circa 1900 - 1920 if so I would like to hear from you. My Grandfather John Kirkwood Gilchrist was a cornet player and for a period was the leader and conductor of this band.

Reading your website from here in Canada. I visited Pica as a young girl with my parents. My grandmother was Martha Williamson from Pica~ so I do feel ties to your charming little village~ and it's history. **She married Thomas Lister~ who we think hailed from Great Broughton~ but don't know for sure. But they came to Canada early in the century. My dad thinks his dad had an brother who moved to the US around the same time~ and may have been a school headmaster. Any info would be appreciated~ as we know nothing about his dad's family. keep up the great site!
