I live in Belgium~ close to the war cemetery in Kasterlee~ where I believe a former resident of Baston is buried William Pell. I used to live in Aslackby and Swayfield~ so feel some connection with this former local soldier. I visit the war cemetery regularly and every remeberance day. If there are any relatives of William Pell still in the area who may wish me to place flowers or a special message on his grave please let me know.

Hello Jim, It is quite obvious that your wife is related to my mum who is also the GG Grandaughter of Thomas Stanger 1802. If you visit my website you can see a picture of Owen and his son Nelson and also link to 'stangers' website, which I must admit I havn't done much with for a long while, you can also contact me by email from there.

I am researching my wife's family and Thomas Stanger was her great, great grandfather - her maiden name is Stanger and she is descended from Edward, Owen's brother who moved to Cranbrook in Kent sometime between 1851 and 1874 (he does not appear on the 1861 & 1871 censuses), married and also ran a harnessmakers business there.
