I am trying to find out any information relating to the old Pendomer school,I understand that it is now a private dwelling. Many of my ancestors taught there at varios times during the 19th century. I am trying to build up a picture of thier life there. the main family name is HULL although there are several more. the family was from East Coker. Many thanks.

My mother Margaret Louisa Coutts was born in sub district of Stotford~ county of Bedford on December 5~ 1908.**Her parents were James William Coutts & Thirza Coutts~ nee: Pettifar. I am trying to trace my first cousins whom I was never aware of being born in the USA as my Mom married a US Army Sgt~ Stanley Jesse Gordon & moved to the USA. Believe I may have 2 first cousins still living in Bedfordshire~ Fredrick & Barbara children of James William Coutts~ 1906-1991~ HELP PLEASE

The Handover family name originated in Ilchester and I have traced the family tree back to the mid 1600's. Some family members went to the US and some to Australia but the majority travelled to west London in the mid 1800's. Should anyone wish for any information please contact me.

**Searching for more information on William Down (born c1852) Sandford Orcas and Harriett Down nee March married 1875. I have traced the family through Census' up to 1901 and they were living at Coldharbour~ Sherborne. Trying to find descendants of them/their children. William was a Carpenter and Wheelwright. Harriett in 1871 was a schoolteacher living at Rimpton House. Possible that one of their children Emily Down married Alfred Coombs in 1914.

I used to live in Ryme Intrinseca until I was 18 years old~ My Mother still lives there and I try to go back when I can. I now live in the City of Bath~ which is a lovely city. Ryme Intrinseca is such a beautiful little village and well worth going to visit or even live (only if you have your own transport though~ it can be rather bothering after a few days) Lovely~ Lovely.
