My name is Elizabeth Fox (nee Wilson)and lived at Middle Dale Park Farm (1948 - 1967). I started at Satterthwaite School in 1953 first in the Infants with Miss Hannah and then with Miss Fox! (I never realised I would have the same surname one day) in the Juniors. Miss Fox's sister (another Miss Fox) used to cook the school meals. I was later joined by my brother John and sister Sally. After Miss Fox left~ I think Mrs. Wolfenden taught us for a while and then Miss A. Taylor arrived. She was a wonderful teacher and got me through the 11+ so in 1960 I went off to Ulverston grammar school. I realise that Satterthwaite school closed down last year and unfortunately I couldn't attend the event. If anyone knows me~ I would love to hear from them.**
