I am the great-grandson of Sophia SPINK who was born in Marsham in about 1818~ but I am uncertain of her parents (differing results from the various websites I have been into. Let me introduce myself. My name is Stewart Addley and I live in London~ Ontario~ Canada and Im a descendant of John Berney Petre~ Esq. of Westwick~ born 1806~ died 1882. My great grandfather is Berney Seymour (Petre) and he was a photographer in Aylsham and lived on Commercial Road~ with his own business~ born 1852~ died 1904. With that being said I'm looking for any help from persons that would have known the family or have pictures handed down from family members or would know who lives in Westwick House at the present day~or a phone number. My grandmother came to Canada in June of 1912 and I have some information listed on my website http://www.starsplace.com/life_stores.htm I would be most grateful for any information. I have been doing research into my ancestors who lived in Hainford~ Norfolk and was wandering if there were any Earl's left in the village. My great grandfather was Samuel (chimmney sweep) and my grandfather was Ernest Arron (born 1870 & a painter and decorator. My grandfather moved with his family (including my dad Arthur Edward) to Norwich around 1900.**I~ myself moved to West Yorkshire in 1961~ but visited this beautiful village in 2004 and found a few gravestones**of my ancestors at the old church.****Hope this is of interest to someone out there.
