I am researching my husband's family. His great Grandfather was Matthew Shillaker (born 1849) who was a groom and coachman at The Grange in Weldon. He married Mary Warner who came from Gretton. They had 7 children~ Charles (born 1877)~ Thomas (born 1879)~ Matthew (born 1882)~ William (born 1885)~ Henry (born 1888) Lydia Mary (birn 1892) and Ernest (born 1896). Lydia married Ted Fellowes also from Weldon and had a son~ Roy born about 1932.**If anyone has any further information I would be delighted to hear from them. Thanks~ Gwen Shillaker

I'm researching the Naylor family who lived in Preston and surrounding area. Starting with a Phillip Naylor born 1764 and possibly his brother William Naylor b 1766. Philip and his wife Rebecca had a son also Philip b 1805 and he married Mary Buckby. They went on to have ten children one of which was another Philip b 1829~ all born at Preston. This third Philip married Mrs Rebecca Spriggs (she had had three daughters by her first husband) and went on to have at least five more with Philip (III). I believe Philip (III) had a brother called John or Johnathan who may have married one of Rebecca's daughters from her first marriage and I think it is through this line I am descended.

My great aunt Annie Parnwell (Strickland) Gray born 1859 Peterborough~ died 1906. She was married to Charles Gray Mayor of Stamford 1901-1902. Does anyone have any information on the family~ I am particularly interested in obtaining a copy of a photograph of Annie for my family history file. ****I have been informed by a lady~ who at one time worked for Charles Gray & Co.~ that the family moved to the village of Wing. **

My great great grandmother Mary Ann Rowell was born in Riddlington 23/12/1832 her father was Charles Rowell farmer in Riddlington. We believe Mary Ann married or lived with a Thomas Gascoign b 1836 and had a son Charles. They moved away first to London then to Derby where Mary Ann had relatives and finaly Leicester. It is said that Thomas was a merchant seaman but we have no evidence~ and it may not be true. Does anyone have any information about the Rowell family or Thomas Gascoign(e)? who probably also came from Riddlington.
