I am researching our family tree~ which is well rooted in the local area. **William Hancock was born in Causton or Corpusty (he says both at various times) **about 1817. He had children: James (1844)~ Thomas (1846)~ John (1847)~ William **(1849) and Frances (1850)## all were born in Heydon.****James and John went to work in the mines in the North East but the remainder **stayed in the Heydon/Causton area. Thomas married Emma unknown from Wood **Dalling and William married Hannah unknown from Guestwick.****William Snr~ Thomas and William Jnr lived in Heydon around 1900. Are there any **descendants still living in the area? Are there any gravestones in the **churchyard or Hancocks on the war memorial?****Any pointers to their whereabouts would be gratefully received. Many thanks.

Some North American descendants of Joseph & Elizabeth (Thirtle) TUCK - buried on the n-e side of Little Barningham Churchyard - have collected $412Cdn to help the parish tidy up the Churchyard. They would like to find any other descendants still living in Norfolk! These could include **descendants of Mary Tuck and George Sexton (married January 1857) and Mary's daughter Martha (b.1850) who married Henry Potter and lived in Edgefield. They are also looking for anyone conversant with THIRTLE genealogy. ****I am also looking for my cousin~ Eric Tuck~ hopefully still alive~ whose father~ Bertie Eric Tuck (b.1897) was station master at the old Thorpe station in Norwich 50 years ago. **More at http://www.isn.net/friartuck/tuck** **Thanks. Robert Tuck.
