I am looking for the Parents of Thomas Isitt~ or Issitt he was born Rushton in abt 1830~ Spouse Eliza Shortland~ Residence was in Wales Street Rothwell~ right up to when he died in 1898~ Thomas and Eliza had 5 children~ Charles~ John Thomas who is my Husbands Great Grandfather~ Harry~ Clara Ann and Henry. The Surname has varied greatly. I have been looking everywhere for his Parents but cannot find them~ have searched all the Census but in 1841 can only find 1 Thomas Issett son of Samuel and this cannot be right as the dates of birth are about 8 years in difference. **Does anybody know Thomas's Parents. I am researching the Tebbutt / Cross family history. All born in Rothwell~ Northamptonshire.****Possible address sites in Rothwell are: High Street~ Meeting Lane and Wales Street.****The Tebbuts were Shoemakers.****The link between Tebbutt and Cross was a marriage between Widow and Widower

A number of Coles are listed in the Lamport Parish Registers (marriages) in the late 1500's and early to mid 1600's . John Cole(s) and Anne Yorke were married in Lamport~ Northamptonshire in 1632~ sailed to New England and settled in Hartford~ Connecticut) soon after marriage. There are now many living Cole descendants in the USA from this marriage. I wonder if there are any living Cole descendants still in England who can trace their ancestry back to Lamport? If so~ you've got lots of cousins in the States!! If you are a "Lamport" Cole(s)~ please contact me. **Bill

  I see that your notice was posted two years ago, so you probably already have information on this family, but if not, I'll gladly email you my 1560-1710 transcript of the Draughton register entries which I made 20+ years ago at the NRO (Delapre) when I believed my family may have originated Draughton. (They may still have done so: please see below!)
  
  For info, my earliest known Payne ancestor is Benjamin Payne, who m. at Burton Overy (Leics) in 1737, but wasn't born there. From that date, my Payne family were farmers in Leicestershire. Recently, however, I have had a near DNA match with a family from Cottesbrooke; but as Benjamin wasn't born there, the common ancestor may have come from elsewhere, and Draughton's a possibility. (The name Randal/Randolph was common to both our families!)
