i! I am looking for my great grandfathers family. His name is Albert James Roberts. I do not know of his birth year. He migrated to NZ abt 1870~ born in Sketchley. I do not know his parents names. I have been searching in the BDM's but to no avail. He married in NZ~ don't know my g/gma's name at all and they had 2 sons. Albert Henry born 1897 and Andy~ don't know his birth year. My G.Grandfather~ John Tew (1823) was born in Bulkington~ I am at present~ building a family tree~ and I am trying to find any information on his parents~ i.e. John Tew ( 1796) his wife was Catherine Barras (1800 )most avenues that I have tried~ I have drawn a blank~ I would appreciate off anyone any information at all~ no matter how small.

(1796) and My G.G.Grandmothers maiden name was Catherine Barras.b.1800~ we believe that they had 6 children~ one of which is my G.Grandfather~ Their son~ John Tew.b.(1823) his wife My G.Grandmother her maiden name was Sarah Orton.b.(1821. I am trying to find any information regarding my ancesters who originate from the Shilton/Foleshill areas~ starting with John Tew (1796) wwho married Catherine Barras~ these are my G.G.Granparents~ then there is John Tew (1823) who married Sarah Orton ( 1821) she also comes from Shilton these are my G.Grandparents~ and then there is my Grandparents~ John Tew ( 1854) who married Elizabeth Purshall~ (1858) Between them there was probabley about 14 siblings~ and was wondering if there was a possability if any of them settled down in the area~ I would appreciate if anyone could let me have any information~ on the TEW'S

I am at present trying to establish my family tree~ my ancesters from G.Grandparents originate from the Silton/Foleshill area~ I would welcome any information on my past family's~ If possible I would like any information on John Tew(1796) who married Catherine Barras~ or John Tew (1823) who married Sarah Orton(1821) she is also from the Shilton area~ They had 10 children~ so over the years~ (I'm Just wishing now) That any of my past relatives~ remained inthe area~I would welcome any information that may be available~ Thank You.

Old Yard~ Foleshill is mentioned in the 1841 - 1891 censuses~ but does not show **up on current street maps. Using an old map plus the 1841 and 1881 census **enumerators route Old Yard seems to be in the area of Edgwick Road~ Stoney **Stanton Road and Crab Mill Lane.**Does anyone know where Old Yard was in the 19th century please?**Regards~**Linda Hansen
