I have received the death certificate for my Great Great Great Grandmother~ Dorothy Merrifield Goudge~ who was born in 1793 and died on 2 June 1873. Her last address was 23 North Street in Fowey~ Tywardreath~ St. Austell~ Cornwall~ England~ where she lived with her granddaughter~ Elizabeth Pascoe. My sister and I plan to visit Tywardreath in the future~ and we would love to know where Dorothy is buried. We live in the United States so research is limited. My great great grandfather Richard Allen emigrated from Sticker in 1840 to South Australia. His father (also Richard Allen )was a farmer in Sticker. I am seeking any information on the Allen family and their descendants who may be still living in Sticker or nearby towns. I am looking for information regarding the Ellis and Mein family. Margaret Ellis from Orchards and Grove~ Cornwall (not sure where this is) married Dr. Thomas Mein(b. 1750 in Eildon Hall~ Melrose~ Roxburghshire) from the Roxburghshire area. The majority of their children were born in Fowey in the late 1700s. **Does anyone know where Orchards and Grove is located? I also have a painting of a Naval person who resembles Margaret Ellis. I think it may be her brother or father.

Hello~****Does anyone know about the holy well in St Mewan? I have visited a number of these sites thoughout Cornwall and have found them interesting. There is a holy well in St Mewan~ which was known in the middle ages to have 'special healing powers'. I have recently visited St Mewan~ but could not locate it.
