Jim Tilt
Bromsgrove, Worcestershire (1.9 miles away)
Looking for contacts who may remember my father, William Charles Tilt, b 1924, Aston, Warwickshire. His parents were William Robert Tilt, b abt 1900, Bromsgrove and Emily Picken, b abt 1889, Birmingham. My father served in the army and was sent to Burma (the Burma Campaign). In 1944, Aston, he married my mother, Elizabeth and they came to Sunderland, Co Durham, which is where Elizabeth was born.
Any info greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Jim

Hi Kevin, I have screened the 1851 census transcription by BMSGH, with no luck. Also had a quick look at the 1911 with no joy. I think you need to try a high scale Ordnance Survey map, 1920-1938. I shouldn't think any maps would have been published during the war time! Mike
