My Father~ John Caskey~ was stationed with the 17th Airborne Division somewhere in the area. He didn't make it back from the Battle of the Bulge. I am looking for any contacts who might know the history of the Division during 1944/1945.****Also~ I married and English girl back in the late 1960's and lived in Hampshire until 1980. Used to play softball in Newbury and Welford. If you know anyone who might have been involved I'd love to hear from them.

Hi~ I am looking for information on the Head family in Berkshire area. Have found some ancestors who lived in Leckhampstead & Hill Green.**Firstly there is James head born about 1812 in Leckhampstead & married to Sarah (maiden name unknown)~ children William & Mary Ann.**At one stage (1881 england census) my Great grandmother Ellen Head (Jame & Sarahs grandaughter) was living with them.**Secondly there is William who was born around 1843 in Hill Green & married to Agnes (maiden name unknown)~ children Charlotte & Alfred William.**Alfred William was born in about 1844 & was married to my great grandmother Ellen Head that I mentioned above.**I am pretty sure that Alfred was married twice but do not know what his first wives name was. Have a feeling that he married his first wive and brought her to New Zealand & when she died went home and married Ellen then brought her to New Zealand.**Does anyone have any of these people in their family trees that are able to give me more information?

I am looking for a support group for alcholics/narcotics## such as I've found in the states...alcoholics annoyomous or narcotics annoyomous. I am a recovered addict and just would like to find some sort of support group that deals with these issues~ in or somewhere near Great Shefford. He was buried at South Fawley 23 Sep. 1818.****GEORGE Snr. and ANNE WISE had six children**Elizabeth bap. 1770**William bap. 1771**James bap. 1776**GEORGE Jnr. 1778**John bap. 1781**Lucy bap. 1784**Lucy married James Carey 23 Oct. 1815 both of the parish.****I need the birth of GEORGE Snr. he could have been born~ met and married Anne in Suffolk but as they settled in South Fawley he could also have returned to his home area to have his family. ****I live abroad and cannot get to the records office so if anyone can help I would be extremely grateful~**Thank you~ Jill
