My family roots come from the lutterworth area, Sarah Davies (1836)Wellford, John Johnson,(1841) Hollowell, John Payne Johnson (1863) Lutterworth. Also Botril family name and CORBY family names. If anyone can furnish information about my family and/or the history of the area I would be greatly appreciative.

• Hi Wesley My turlands all come from Bugbrooke going back to the 1600s. So far we have not found any links with the Faxton branch of the Turlands. There were in the 1600s three different branches of Turlands in Northamptonshire, the Hannington Turlands, the Bugbrooke Turlands and the Faxton Turlands. It might be worth you looking at the message boards on the family tree boards at Roots Web, it is a subsidery of ancestry but that part is free to look at and I think you may find there are some Turlands from Faxton listed in there, also the Northamptonshire records office have lots of information parish records etc. I will have a word with a friend of mine as he has some information about some of the hannington turlands and he may just have some about the Faxton turlands. I will let you know on this. As i say i descend from the Bugbrooke Turlands. Good luck with your tree and if I can find any information that may help you I will send on to you. Kind regards Julie

I am looking for any information regarding James Turland and family who lived in Heyford from around 1911 up until about 1995. An address I have is Railway cottages~ 2 furnace lane~ heyford. Also any information about my grandmothers family who lived in heyford called Draper. My great grandad was Hyfrum Draper and my grandmother was Winifred Draper who married Joseph Turland from Bugbrooke in 1920.

My grandfather was Joseph Turland born in bugbrooke 1895. His parents were Joseph Turland and Betsy Russell. He had brothers called Alfred 1880~ Thomas 1885~ James1888~ and George 1898. He also had sisters Betha 1882~ Ada 1891 Martha 1893 and I think Florrie 1899.****My grandfather married Winifred Draper from Heyford and at some point moved to Loughborough~ Leics. I am looking for any decedants from Joseph Penn born 1829 and was married to Juliana Brazier Born 1835. I do know that Juliana passed away in 1875. They had a son also named Joseph born 1865 and was married to Sarah Ann Smtih born 1874 in Barleston Leicestershire. I am a direct decendant of these people. Hello from Tennessee~ I am researching my great grandfather's family(Emery's)who came from Whilton & Daventry- for my 86 yrs. young father! Records indicate-Joseph(b.1797)& Maria Haynes Emery had several children including Samuel(1836-1919?)& my descendent William(1846-1919)born at Middlemore farmhouse. A photo circa 1900 shows Samuel & Rebecca Parnell & children.**I am interested in locating any Emerys of this line- esp.**Gordon William Emery who farms in the area.

My maternal grandmother's name was Emily Annie Bettle. Her father~ Crick Bettle~ was born in Kingsthorpe~ Northampton c.1813. I should be very pleased to hear if there any of the Bettle family still in the area. Crick married Ann Ager in 1836 but had no children. He then appears to have started a family with Elizabeth Stedman and one of their many children was Emily~ my grandmother. ****Chris Brown
