I am a descendant of David Young and Elizabeth BIGLEY of Chatteris~ both born around 1815~ through their son Alfred Frederick YOUNG 1846-1914 who married Eliza Jane NEWBOLD. No doubt the YOUNGs and Bigleys go back a long way in Cambridgeshire~ and I want people to know that their ancestors are alive and well in many parts of Australia.**Best wishes to all in the county....Warren in Brisbane.

Researching BAVIN family of Doddington~ Cambridgeshire. I think a census showed they lived in March~ too. Elizabeth Jane Bavin~ born Feb 26~ 1839~ Doddington~ Cambridgeshire## died Aug 4~ 1912~ Pass Christian~ Mississippi USA## m. William Adams in Doddington abt 1861-62. They were my gg grandparents. William Adams was from Madron~ Cornwall. We're interested in finding ancestors prior to Elizabeth Jane. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Searching for any memories and photographs of Walter William Bell of Chatteris 1912-1971. Won medals for swimming~ gardening~ member of Working Men's Club. Keen footballer and Boxing - First Aider/trainer and seconds corner. Also searching for Clark/Hopkins family - James and Sarah c1881 ran a public house in Bridge Street Chatteris (What was it called? any pictures). The Clark family came from Thetford/Mepal area and Victor and Maggie Clark ran the Red Lion at Mepal. My mother was Gladys Clark (her grandparents were Hopkins) and they lived in Bridge Street~ Chatteris (known as Slade End) and she had three brothers Reginald who became a priest~ Gordon who still lives in Wimblington and Norman who emigated to Australia. Anything please about the names in this message would be brilliant. Please contact.

Looking for information on John Jordan Young~ born March 26~ 1829 in Chatteris~ Cambridgeshire~ England. He married Ann Jones and moved to USA through New Orleans and lived in Indiana and Oklahoma. After Ann's death he married Jane Lyons Howell.
